My jouney as a mother to two beautiful young girls that are only a year and half apart, my angels!

Eeyore was saying to himself, "This writing business. Pencils and what-not. Over-rated, if you ask me. Silly stuff. Nothing in it."

When you have children this is nothing but true. I feel like just yesterday Annabelle was learning to walk and Michaela was just born. I cannot believe how time just goes by so quickly. I am thankful everyday that I get to stay home and raise my girls and that I never have to miss out on any moment. As much as I look forward to finishing my degree, going out into the workforce, and helping other people I savor this moment that I share with my girls. Moments that will forever be in my heart.

This is an amazing picture and it inspires me to wonderful and amazing photographs of my beautiful daughters. They make me realize how innocent childhood is through a lens.

I have to keep this in mind today as I am potty training Annabelle. Today was our first day and she did not go in the potty once. It was kind of discouraging to me but I must realize that this is not just her learning to put pee pee and potty together it is also training her body when to release. I think once she goes one time in the potty the following times will be easier because she will connect the two, but we shall see. Today I attempted with pull-ups, I think that they are too much like diapers and they absorb so much so there is no uncomfortable feeling. Tomorrow I am going to switch to training panties and a rubber lining. These are like underwear just a bit thicker so they do not soak a couch or alike. Then I am going to cover them with a rubber panty so that she doesn’t ruin anything. This will give her the yucky sensation of having wet herself. That being uncomfortable I am hoping that she will stop wetting her pants and go to the potty. We shall see how it works out, I am going to say my prayers. I know it will not be easy and I am not expecting it to take a day, a week, or even a month, I know this will be an ongoing learning experience for the both of us.

Very excited to have my husband home for the next few days. It gives me somewhat of a break with the girls and the household chores. The girls have been little angels lately, even sleeping in until 7-730, I cannot believe it. Annabelle is going to start potty training on January 1st of which I am extremely nervous about. What if I make a mistake or she has an accident because I am too slow. I need to remember not to be so hard on myself but I just hate messing up things especially when it comes to my girls.

Michaela is growing up so fast right before my eyes. It is kind of hard for me because I know that I will not have this stage again for many years. I am happy to wait to have more children don’t get me wrong, I just love having little babies around. But I am excited about what the future brings with Michaela and seeing just how different she is from Annabelle makes it even more fun. Just this morning she was chasing Annabelle around the playroom because Anna has a xylophone and Kayla wanted to play also. Annabelle didn’t want to share so she went into the kitchen which is separated from the playroom by one little step. Kayla was determined so she crawled up the step! It was the first time and it shows me how quick she is growing up.

I have this obsession with writing. I don’t even care what it is I just love writing. I write handwritten notes to people, I write out my lists, I handwrite all my notes for school even when I don’t need to. I have the gift of handwriting and I love it!
